PROTOTYPES
PROTOTYPES
A prototype is an initial version or model of a product or system created to test and validate ideas, concepts, and functionalities. It can be a visual, interactive, or functional representation that allows designers, developers, and users to experience the product early on. Its main purpose is to evaluate the feasibility of a solution, identify flaws, gather feedback, and make adjustments before developing the final version.l
Definition of objectives and requirements
The problems to be solved, user needs, and product objectives are identified. Functional and technical requirements that the prototype must meet are also gathered.
Research and planning
The market is researched, trends are analyzed, and the prototype development process is planned, taking into account timelines and necessary resources.
Conceptual design
Initial drafts or sketches are created to reflect the overall idea of the product, including its functionality, interface, and visual design.
Protoype creation
Prototype creation: Based on the conceptual design, an initial prototype is developed. This can be a physical model, an interactive digital mockup, or a functional version of the product.
Testing and evaluation
The prototype is tested with users or in a controlled environment to identify usability, functionality, or design issues. This allows for valuable feedback to be gathered.
Iteration and improvements
Based on the test results, the prototype is adjusted and improved. This process can be repeated multiple times, refining the design and functionalities
Final validation
Once the prototype meets the established requirements and receives positive feedback, it is validated as a viable solution, which can lead to the production of the final product
